Virtual Healing Sunday Morning

If you're attending via Zoom this Sunday (11/1/26), you can log on starting at 10:30 A.M. if you'd like to receive a brief, virtual (distance) healing session.

Sue Jarek served in this capacity on 10/18, and will serve again as our virtual healer on 11/1/26 — thank you, Sue!

We're hoping to offer virtual healing more regularly for Zoom attendees—let us know what you think in the comments below. We'd like to start offering this more often, but want to see if it's something people would like to have opportunities for.

Also — if you're a Chapel-approved healer, let us know if you'd like to serve in this capacity from time to time.

How to receive a virtual healing session

Simply join the normal Zoom space between 10:30 - 10:45, and join the "Healing" Breakout Room. If you're not sure how to do that, there are some instructions below; if you have trouble, just let us know in the Zoom chat and we'll help move you into the breakout room.

Our virtual healer for the day will join you there and share a few minutes of distance healing with you.

If you enter the breakout "Healing" room and a session is in progress, please stay on mute until that session is complete, and the healer will call on you when it's your turn.

We look forward to seeing you there!

How to join a breakout room on Zoom

On Desktop / Laptop

Hover over the bottom of your Zoom window so you can see the options. There should be one for "Breakout Rooms" — if not, click "More" in that menu and find it there.

  • Then, click "Join" next to the breakout room you'd like to join.

  • Remember to stay muted if a session is already taking place.

  • When you'd like to leave the breakout room, click the "Leave and return to meeting" button.

On Mobile Device

Tap your screen once you're in the Zoom meeting, and you should see an icon on the top of your screen that comes up and says "Breakout Rooms"

  • Tap that icon

  • Choose the breakout room you wish to enter, and tap "Join"

  • Remember to stay muted if a session is already taking place.

Some backstory

If you attend the Chapel in person on Sundays, you know we offer brief, spiritual (energy) healing sessions from about 10:30 A.M. - 10:55 A.M., now taking place primarily in the back classroom healing space. Our approved Chapel Spiritual Healers and Healing Practitioners volunteer their time and energy to serve our community in this way.

Over the years we've experimented with different ways to offer this to our online participants, and we're looking forward to continuing to offer this in this way when we have volunteers available.

PS - There's also a "Social" breakout room set up for those who log in early and want to chat on voice / video with other Zoom participants beforehand. You can also join early and just stay in the main room and watch whatever happens to be going on in the Chapel sanctuary... sometimes music rehearsal, quiet meditation, or general greeting time.

I believe that the online Zoom healer is a great idea. Not everyone can get to the chapel, and should be able to have healing as well as those that are in the chapel.
