"Peace is My Currency," by Rev. Sharon Flynn

I brought a big book today. I took it… took it out of the… it hadn't been opened in a while, apparently, but something fell out, so I… I had used it before, so… Okay, I'd like to start off with, with my prayer, please.

So let us pray. Father, Mother God, Heavenly Creator. I ask for the connection to be made so that the connection with my angels, my guides. And all loving beings of light that are guiding me, to guide you, to guide all of us here in this world. to bring in what we need with wisdom and knowledge. We ask this in Christ's light, in Christ's name. Amen.

All right. Well, good morning. Good morning.

Peace Is My Currency

My talk today is the currency of… is peace. My currency. My peace is my currency. It's a flow of energy. So, to me, peace is paramount. in my world. It's taken me a long time to get here.

And it's fleeting. It's… sometimes it's with me, and sometimes it's not, just like everybody else.

So peace is… a part that… Living in that life filled with God's presence is my definition of peace. And the knowingness that he's guiding everything we do.

It is, one of the most… And this book, this… so this is… this is a book with comparative, sacred text, so everything is in the same subject. So there is a section on peace in there.

Can you believe that? I'm sure it was mentioned millions of times in the Bible, so… So, to me, it's one of the desirable outcomes. Of our… I'm gonna use salvation, because that was what was written in this book.

To me, salvation means that we are… So guided by God. that it's our path. You know, God's… God has a path for you, every one of us, so…

And to me, the outcome is inner peace. We can… play, pray. Sometimes mix up those words, very interesting. So, to me, we can pray for outer peace.

And we can also pray for inner peace. And the inner peace is what's something we can do with it. We can do something with that inner peace. We can pray all we want, but that's up to all the other people in this world to create that peace.

So… you know, So there's two kinds of peace. I just… kind of like to touch on both of them. As I said, there is a peace that comes when you're reaching an understanding of this world. To me, that means that when we are reaching an understanding, we all want peace for everyone.

Lord, we want peace in our house. I was in the middle. of 5 children. That's all I did, was create peace. You know, you got two older, and then you got two younger, and I was always the peacekeeper of the group. And I bet you every middle child has that same tendency. So… Whether you're the… a little older middle or a younger middle, but it's still something that we… desire, in this… in our world. I… I believe that's where we came from.

Our original state was in a peaceful place. And we got jarred and confused and in chaos when we came into this world. So, So, I think that… Understanding what we need to create peace. is… Something that we all strive for, including me.

The Chaos We Carry

I'm not pointing the finger out to you, I'm also pointing the finger to me. Okay?

So the absence of desires, the… Obsessions and over-passions, and anxieties. And… Just wondering what… just having thoughts just wander through your mind. To me, all of that creates that chaos that we're dealing with. I love the what-ifs.

It should be. Oh, it ought to be. Well, that's not creating any kind of peace in us. I mean, we create that… That fear, those, those things that we don't want in our mind. And so, the easiest way to go about that is to be aware of what you're thinking. And to be aware of what you're thinking means that you have to have your heart open, and you also have to have your ego mind Tucked into bed.

And the ego mind is what's creating all this stuff, anyways, in our head.

You know, it… to me, peace… is… so important. that I'm allowing only peace to enter into my world. I know people that don't want to create peace in their world, that are in the chaotic, you know, dramas.

I'll let them have it. And I will turn away, and I will bless them. I have no judgment over that. I can't control what people are thinking and what they are experiencing, but I also don't need to put myself in the middle of it, either.

I can hold that peace for them. And I can be in that peaceful state. And our energy, combined with somebody else's, can extend that light to them, that peace.

You know, peace is also something that I believe When one becomes content. Content in this world. and being contented with what you have, what you have created, and what you're going to create. So the piece of your inner mind is super important, and I do believe that you can also call peace nirvana in that other context. So the peace of your inner mind is… is super important. And I keep saying that, but you can create peace in groups, you can restore peaceful harmony among people and nations, and that's something that… that means the outside world. But you can be holding that harmony, you can be holding that peacefulness. Among the people, you know.

A couple of talks ago, I… I said something about, you know, use me, God. Not that one, that's the one. That souls come into this world, and they are given an opportunity to stop by and gather some candles, or what they call tapers. And those are the people that have the opportunity to gather more light and place it in their heart.

And… when somebody places more light in their heart, that's what they're doing. They're the peacekeepers, the ones among us that hold, maybe some political Or leadership qualities, people that restore peace to our nation, and that can negotiate. And help people see what's… what's really true, and who we truly are.

So, I believe that, you know, peace starts individually, finding one's own quiet

understanding of oneself.

Creating Peace Within

Now… One of the ways I believe about creating more peace in your life is that you have to be kind of by yourself. Take time for you. Take that quiet… doesn't have to be all day, it doesn't have to be all week. But just taking time and realizing that peace can be created, within you.

with very little thinking needs to be done when you are in this peaceful state. What color is peace? You know, think about that. What color you could create would be peace for you. You could sit outside and just breathe that color in and fill up your whole body with that. And those light particles aren't just light particles.

They're little particles of neutrinos and all these other little tiny things that go through our pores of our skin, and actually. Merge with us.

That's why red light therapy works. That's why, you know, I mean, we know, like, these, LED lights. They disrupt our energy field.

That's why I hate going to Walmart. I think we've probably got them here, too. We can get some incandescent bulbs. Oh, they're incandescent? Oh, they're fluorescent. Oh, that's different. Okay, there's a difference. I don't know the difference between LED and fluorescent, but I know the incandescents are very, very, Agreeable to our energy field.

So, light… through the sun. And it doesn't mean that you can't do that when it's raining outside. It could mean that you just visualize and create that light coming in.

So that beautiful light, can come in every day and to aid in you creating that peace.

You know, if… All of us are here holding that frequency of peace and light. We've accepted a… a contract somewhere along the way in this journey, of being responsible for our own individual self. with our own efforts to find that quiet wisdom within God. That's our responsibility to do that. But it's also, if we hold that, it's our responsibility to share it with others.

So… We can find that in the, you know, the wisdom that comes in with that quiet.

You know, I've had… a lot of quiet time. Before I went to Ireland. Not so much since I've been back. Because I've been on two other trips since then, but whenever I can, I create that quiet space. I don't turn on the TV. I don't turn on any music.

I just am, and am being. Now… I like people. Most. Most people.

But their vibrations can interrupt your peace. So, you know, the toxic people, they can be among their toxic people, that's fine. But when you have the supply within you, you can be among them and, you know, hand them the peace when you can.

Words of Peace from Sacred Texts

I'd like to, just take a moment to read… these are quotes from this Bible, It's a comparative Bible, basically. So, this is… this is from one, you know. Everybody knows this phrase, and it's from John 14, verse 27:

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives.

Do… I mean, not as the world gives, do I give to you. So basically, he's saying that he's giving to you His peace, his connection to God.

There is peace. This is an excellent, namely, the calm of all impulses, the casting out of all bases, the extinction of craving, dispassion, and stopping nirvana.

That is Buddhism. That's from… I can't pronounce that. I won't do it justice. And this is Isaiah 26.3:

Thou dost give him a perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusts in thee.

And that's another big thing, is trust. So, wanting peace means that you need to trust And believe in your connection to your higher self.

Obtaining and Earning Peace

Now, how can I obtain peace? Peace, to me, feels like a quiet reassurance through God that you know your day is flowing in His light and His love.

The question I had was, how can I obtain peace? I believe that peace is given, and I do believe that peace is earned.

So… We used to sing a song, here, years ago. when we had canned music. It's called Bring the Peace. It's a beautiful piece of music. It was a Celtic piece.

So how can I bring and be the peace? Remember, That your view of God is loving, kind, and giving.

God's peace is within you. Light is peace to me. and light, And peace is really God's Spirit.

So, who can be peaceful? I believe everyone can be peaceful. I believe that we have that We need to make it a priority.

And what it's gonna do is, it's gonna help you clear out the old. Because if you focus on peace, you're sure gonna come up with things that aren't peaceful in your head.

And it's gonna make you aware of what's not peaceful.

You know, we've got to clear out the old as we move into this new age. So, resentments, finding fault, judging oneself, judging others. That's a great place to start.

Letting Go of What No Longer Serves

So, going on this vacation, I had… I was… There were 4 other people, so I put myself right in the middle, like I did when I was a child. It was a very familiar location. And it was two people that the other two didn't know, so I was really in the middle. I was the only one that both sets of people knew.

And I found myself, not feeling so peaceful.

Because I had to keep the peace. But there was no dramas, there was nothing.

But it was my old conditioning that kicked right in and told me I had to keep the peace. So guess what that started? I was starting to get stressed.

I was starting to get a little angry, and I go, in my head, this is my vacation! I should be peaceful! So I… I mean, it was a great realization, and it was very… Helpful.

to put myself in that situation so I could see that it was peaceful to begin with. There was nothing I needed to do.

Except… Honor that, honor everybody else, and honor myself.

So, you know, it's also like the grandma or the mother, you know, you're gonna fix everybody and make sure there are… there's plenty of food to eat, and there's plenty of food to share with other people, so… So I went down that little path of finding fault, judging myself. So…

I realized that was a very helpful thing, so the few days that I had coming back from vacation, that's what I did. I turned off everything, and I go, okay, that's my pattern, how do I clear it? This is my pattern, how do I work through it? So, it was… it was very, very helpful. So, I'd like to, also read something from Neale Donald Walsch. He's, he's my favorite go-to guy.

And, he always has an interesting perspective on things.

So… How do we begin? to unfold this complication of energy that we are. How do we find that peace, and how do we begin to… go through. First of all, I do believe that we have to look at our relationships that are in our life. And if you have difficulty with relationships.

Either change your mind or let them go.

there is probably a humongous wave of energy right now where people are letting people go that aren't in the vibrational frequency of them. I see it every day with people,

And, so, this is what Neale Donald Walsch says, well, this is what God says, through him.

Make every moment of your life an outpouring of love.

I love that statement. Connect… connection with the all, and with every person, place, and thing. So…

Be the peace to earth that, by bringing peace to all those whose lives you touch, be peace. Feel and express in every moment your divine connection with all, and with everyone and every place. Be a living, breathing example of the highest truth that resides within you. Make of your life a gift. Remember always, you are the gift. And speak lovingly, that every syllable may heal. Speak of me with every utterance, and speak respectfully, that no one be dishonored.

So… To me, that first statement, be the living, breathing example of the highest truth that resides in you.

How did we get trained to look for everything that isn't working for other people or ourselves? How did we get that? My… that's one of my major questions. How did that thought come in? How did that tendency… whether or not… You had a kindergarten teacher that judged you, or a parent that judged you, or you got sisters and brothers that judged you.

And how did we bring that to us? As it is us.

I always found… That when we were disciplined as a kid, we believed that was who we were, not our behavior.

But that's who we were.

So… Look over your life. We have a lot of error patterns and… in our world that's still residing up here. Even though… just give yourself some time, and put yourself in some chaos, and then come away, and you'll figure it out.

So… I believe that where we are, we're exactly where we need to be right now. We're moving through our patterns, we're moving through things, and we're letting go things that no longer serve us.

But the… But the end hope, and this is so interesting, because I think this is our first time me and Elizabeth have been up here together, haven't we? So, she did a beautiful meditation, and… this talk that he, Neale Donald Walsch had with God, the last sentence that he had, when you see this simple truth, when you're… when you understand, and you see the greatest truth of all.

I have sent you nothing but angels.

So that was part of my talk, too. And angels are… Amazing.

Angels, Guides, and Presence

Does anybody remember the MAP program? It's a medical assistant program, it was… by Chanel… Shannon, or… anyways, it's… it's nature spirits, okay? And you work with your nature spirits, you work with your… your guides, your angels, all of them. And one of the things that they… always said, is that whatever I need to be balanced in my body.

I ask for all of these beings to come in and work with me. And you basically just lay down on the bed, or meditate in a chair, and you ask for them to come in, and you just quiet your mind as much as you can.

And you breathe in and breathe out.

Yeah. Breathe out those thoughts. Breathe in the peace. Breathe out those thoughts. Breathe in the peace. And you'll feel a brush, or a touch, or a coolness, or a warmth, the more you do it.

And then you'll know that those beings are right there. And doing that, it's usually 20 minutes a day, or whenever you can do it. And…

When you know, and you trust, and you connect to that Presence. The presence is… the presence of God. It's the peace that comes in with you. So, understand that that's something that if you intend it, if you direct it, if you put the energy into taking time for you to create that inner peace, then it's gonna happen. It's going to be part of you, and then…

I believe you can change the world just having that peace. I mean, people will… react different to you. They will be in a calmness around you.

Passing the Peace

It worked pretty good when I was putting that fairy garden together with my two grandkids, and I was creating that peacefulness. And they didn't fight the whole time, I was very grateful. So create that peace. So, you know, your peace is your priority, but it's also affecting other people, and that's, to me, that's… the gift that we're gonna give to ourselves, as well as the gift we're gonna give to others. So, as you bring others into your life, and you'll know, they'll create chaos,

And, you know, with your family, well. You're gonna just have to kind of put up with it.

I mean, you're just gonna have to hold that, but you can, you can… you know… Say gentle words, or do what you need to do to create more of that peacefulness, so…

The more peace you hold, and that you can give to others, it's sort of like… You know, pass the piece on.

To me, if you're sitting at a table and you're having a meal with somebody or your family. To me, passing the piece… It's like passing the salt and pepper.

You know, every time you pass that salt and pepper, think about passing the piece to somebody. I mean, I always do stuff practical. Whatever we do daily, we can integrate it with something in our world that can help others, too, so… And you know what others do?

They'll do.

They may not take your offer of your gift.

They don't have to.

And that's okay, too.

But you know you've got that peacefulness in you. So, what others do, you know, you can create that peace within you, and you can carry it with you as a gift of light to others, a balm to your wounds and other wounds, and We also sang a song that was My Peace I Give to You. I love that song, maybe we can add that, if it's not… if it's not sanctioned, or whatever it's called.

A Closing Encouragement

So, I just encourage you, this is something I saw from this one woman, and I thought it was… I don't even remember her name, she was on YouTube, and she has positive energy.

So, she said, start your day. with this phrase.

I love how. Blank, blank, blank. I love how I'm waking up and feeling abundant. I love how… so how would you love? What would you love to have more of?

Is what you want to do when you start your day.

You know, it… you could love the beautiful… I mean, the sky has been amazingly deep blue. Has anybody noticed that? The greens, everything's coming into a full reality, that God's reality, I believe. The old matrix is coming down, but we're seeing more and more, and feeling more and more God's love.

So, find things that you can do. You know, create something.

When I say create, it could be anything. You could doodle, you could paint, you could… Garden. You could read a book.

whatever you can do to create more peace in your life is what I encourage everyone. And I think peace is like the light from the sun. The brighter we get within ourselves, the brighter it's going to shine with others, the more gathering we do with people of like mind, the more it's going to be shared across this earth.

And there's more to them than just the Earth. There's… what we do here on this Earth affects the multiverse.

So let's, let's generate lots of love and peace, kindness, And… Find your things in you that you cannot… That don't create the peace and eliminate them.

And be aware of them. How do we get rid of things? How do we let go of things? We just have to be… we have to recognize it, we have to acknowledge it, we have to identify it, and then we have to neutralize it.

So, the question that if you can't figure out why this person's in your world, that creates drama and chaos?

Then you know that… It's probably something that may want… you want to turn and move out of, eventually, but just know that the more you create that inner peace, the more you can look at situations. What did I learn from this relationship? What did I learn from this situation? How did I… act, and how can I… you know, make amends. You don't always have to make amends, but you… because most of the… the energy within you about feeling guilty or concerned or, you know, blaming is within you. They probably don't even think about it. So, it's always within you.

So, blessings to all of you and all that you do. May peace… peace I give to you. Amen.
