Susan Bauer

Healing Practitioner (CoE)

       Susan has been a practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu®, an energy harmonizing modality since 2001.  She is a Cayce Certified Life Coach, a National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotherapists Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, practices BodyTalk® “Brain Balancing”, Accunect® Emotion Releasing Techniques, and is a dowser.   She most enjoys receiving and sharing self-help information. 
        From a child, Susan has always been interested in understanding why some individuals developed illnesses and diseases, which has taken her on a lifelong journey of study and enhanced her connection with Spirit.  She credits the Metaphysical Chapel of Life, where she first learned to meditate; the Memorial Spiritualist Church; and the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment with providing her foundational metaphysical and spiritual understanding, guidance, and tools.  All have served her well through the years, often to her own surprise and delight.  
       Susan Bauer joined the Chapel of Life in 1987 after attending chapel services and classes starting in 1985.  She transferred her membership to the Metaphysical Chapel of Life in 2019 after returning to the Peninsula and is currently serving on the Chapel’s Board of Directors.  
       Susan retired from the Department of Defense as an Army civilian after 35 years of service.  In her roles as a manager or supervisor she combined her skills and knowledge as an analyst, problem solver, mentor, and coach along with her spiritual focus to bring positive vision and energy into every project or situation.   
       Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Master’s in Public Administration, is a graduate of the Army Management Staff College and completed Dept of Defense Executive Training courses.  Her most treasured recognition is from The Church of Enlightenment as “Healing Practitioner.”

At the Metaphysical Chapel of Life, our spiritual healing ministry is comprised of two groups:

• Healing Practitioners: Those initiated into the Order of Healing Practitioner by our mother church, the Church of Enlightenment. Healing Practitioners successfully complete a similar ordination process as our novitiate and ordained ministers. Our ordained ministers may also serve as healing practitioners.

• MCL (Chapel) Healers: Those who've completed an approved energy healing training program conducted by a Chapel minister or approved trainer, including the Laying on of Hands Healer program (2-3 day training including hands-on practice, participating in a healing service at the Chapel, and receiving positive healer evaluations by current Chapel board members and/or Healer Practitioners.
