10:30 AM - In Person - Doors Open

• The sanctuary will open for spiritual healing and individual meditation, with meditation music playing. If you would like a healing touch, prayer, or simply an exchange of words, please meet one of our healers at the front of the sanctuary to share in your request. They will share a brief healing session with you there, or use our Healing Room if you prefer.

• Coffee, Assorted Hot Teas, and Hot Cocoa are available before and after service, in the coffee area through the door at the rear of the sanctuary. Head to this are to catch up with friends and make new ones before services! 🙂

10:30 AM - Virtual - Zoom room opens

• The main Zoom room displays sanctuary and healing/meditation music

• You're welcome to sit in the main Zoom room and enjoy the healing, meditative music and energy, or join the Breakout room to chat with those waiting prior to service—catch up with friends or make new ones!

• Healing: Raise your hand on Zoom if you'd like to receive healing — if a virtual healer is available, we'll send you into the breakout room with them. Please don't join the "Healing" breakout room unless it's your turn.

• Please remain muted in the main room during the pre-service meditation/healing time. You can opt to join the Breakout Room if you'd like to unmute and chat with fellow attendees there before 11 AM.

About This Week's Lecturer

Susan Bauer joined the Chapel of Life in 1987 after attending Chapel services and classes starting in 1985.  She transferred her membership to the Metaphysical Chapel of Life in 2019 after returning to the Peninsula. She has served on the Chapel’s Board of Directors since 2021, holding several positions, including that of secretary for the last two years.  

Susan retired from the Department of Defense/Army as a senior program manager with more than 35 years of service, and two tours in Germany.  She has a history of responsible leadership and participation in Army and Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives and programs supporting cutting edge business actions and efficiencies.  Susan, in her various roles has combined her skills and knowledge as an analyst, program manager, problem solver, mentor, and coach along with her spiritual focus to bring positive vision and energy into every project or situation.   

Susan has a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a master’s in public administration, is a graduate of the Army Management Staff College, and also completed Dept of Defense Executive Training courses.  Most recently, she has completed a Bachelor of Metaphysical Science and is working toward completion of a master’s degree.  Although Susan has received many awards and honors over the years, her most treasured recognition is being awarded Healer Practitioner Certification in 2021 by The Church of Enlightenment. 

From a child, she has always been interested in understanding why some individuals developed illnesses and diseases, which has taken her on a lifelong journey of study and enhanced her connection with Spirit.  She credits the Chapel of Life, where she first learned to meditate, the Memorial Spiritual Church and the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment with providing her foundational metaphysical and spiritual understanding, guidance and tools that have served her well through the years, often to her own surprise and delight.  

Because of her interest in healing, Susan and Rev. Jenny Seeley teamed up and developed a Spiritual Healing Touch class taught in June 2022, which became the foundation for attendees to become Approved Chapel Healers.  Last year Susan and Rev. Sharon Flynn taught an updated version of the class, and eight graduates became Chapel Approved Healers.  

Susan has been a practitioner of Jin Shin Jyutsu®, an energy harmonizing modality, since 2001.  She is a Cayce Certified Life Coach, a Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist, is a Dowser who has studied with Raymond Grace, and also practices BodyTalk® “Brain Balancing,” and Accunect® Emotion Releasing Techniques.  Susan’s personal method of clearing stuck emotions, (which she uses for herself and others), uses dowsing and invokes spiritual interaction and support.

About our Sunday Service Podium Volunteers

We differ from the other churches in that there is no one single leader at our Chapel. Different voices are heard each Sunday. We provide an opportunity for people to share their light—not merely an opportunity for our congregation to sit and passively and listen to what one person has to say.

12:00 PM - 12:30 PM (Approximately) - Message Service

This is the part of the service where our message bearers will provide a personal message for each of us. During this part of the service everyone will be offered a message in turn. We ask that attendees on Zoom Please keep your microphone muted until the message bearer calls on you and asks if you would like a message. This will prevent your background noise from interrupting the service. When they call on you, please un-mute your microphone and state your first name. If you would prefer not to receive a message, just say pass, or not at this time. The message bearers use your first name as a means to connect with your higher-self, your spirit guides or even a friend or family members who are now on the other side and they will share with you what they receive.
