What is metaphysics?

To clarify the term, “Metaphysics”….

It is composed of the Greek words, “meta,” meaning “beyond,” and “physics,” which is the science of matter, energy and their interactions, both physical and natural.

Metaphysics, then, is the study of what lies beyond the physical realm—that is, what lies beyond the limitations of our physical senses—what lies beyond what is ordinarily considered naturally tangible and perceivable—and therefore, it is what lies within the realm of the supernatural and/or spiritual.

Thus, the realm of metaphysics includes the ability to perceive the realm of spirit which includes those who have passed over, guides, teachers, angels, beings of light, elemental beings and the direct connection on a soul level to other physical beings. This connection includes a direct metaphysical connection to the energy of another and the ability to connect to the energy of all things that exist.

The Intuitive/Metaphysical connection (Heart to Heart) is the spiritual path we follow at the Chapel. All things that are spiritual are also metaphysical and all things that are metaphysical are also spiritual.

People today define "spirituality" in many different ways.

Spirituality includes acceptance through faith of what is unseen, what is unheard and what is untouched by the physical senses.

Spirituality includes acceptance by faith in our inner knowing that is beyond all provability by any physical means.

As our path is based on our connected nature and our ability to connect Heart to Heart—those things we see, understand, or accept by faith will be life-giving and affirm the divinity of all beings.

Metaphysics also includes acceptance by faith that our inner knowledge and knowing is beyond any demonstrable physical and natural phenomena.

Simply put:

Metaphysics means “beyond the physical.”
